The successful franchise Chick-Fil-A seems to have had a change of heart that has left some wandering. Just this week word got out that franchise was no longer donating to Salvation Army and te Fellowship of Christ Athletes (FCA) due to the criticism the two were receiving over their anti-LGBTQ setiment. For the past few years Chick-Fil-A has also been underfire for speakingon their disapproval of same-sex marriage. Seeing that Chick-Fil-A has had what seems to be a change of heart or a smart business move has caught peoples attention. Chick-Fil-A claims that their are looking to focus on giving to charities that cater to hunger, homelessness, and education.

Chick-Fil-A is known for their deep rooted christian beliefs and popular chicken sandwiches. When their beliefs were brought to the forefront many LGBT groups put together protests and boycotts against buying from the franchise. Just as the portions of the LGBTQ community rallied together to show the outrage, others supported the franchises packing the buildings as they watched the propestors as they ate. Salvation Army and the FCA are both underfire for their beliefs for their companies.
I understand LGBTQ has experienced lots of hate and discrimination, as well as love and support, however this seems to be going a bit to far. Everyone loves being "entitled" to their own opinion, but when they do so they are crutinized. My miniature rant has nothing to with the beliefs of the LGBTQ, but rather the fact that companies are scrutinized for what they believe. I understand that their views may seemed dated or unfair, but we live in a world were many things we don't like. I think that these businesses should not be scrutinized for their beliefs, so long as they aren't committing illegal acts. If the LGBTQ comunity doesn't like that they've learned about these companies then they can decide to no longer support them, but the bash them is going to far.

The Salvation Army is one of the world's largest social providers. If anything I am most upset at the fact that the thousands of young people who attended the FCA summer campus hosted by historically black colleges and universitites may no longer have that opportunity since the FCA lost $1.65 million ins funding. I commend these large companies that have various beliefs for making them known, because for all he companies that are speaking their truth there are thousands more who feel strongly about things, but will never let it be said.
